What we do

Driving strategy forward. Accelerating business results.

A new service with attractive margins. A fleet investment that needs to pay off. A Group strategy that must deliver in the local market. Each creates opportunities, but also decisions about capital, capacity, people and execution.

SV works with leaders across mobility, transport and logistics to evaluate the business moves worth pursuing and make the chosen direction executable.

We help establish what needs to happen, work alongside the teams responsible for delivery and build the capability to sustain progress independently.

You can begin with the engagement that fits your business priority. The four services are not a mandatory sequence.

When business ambition meets operating reality

The business case is promising. What will it take to deliver?

We help leadership teams establish the conditions required for a chosen direction to deliver value, then support the work of making those conditions real.

The starting point is the business result. The scope of our involvement depends on what the organisation needs to achieve it.

Illustrative example

Consider a transport operator looking to improve margins by changing its contract mix.

The financial opportunity may be clear, but achieving it could require different pricing decisions, revised commercial incentives, changes to route planning and a more disciplined approach to capacity allocation.

Those decisions sit with different people, often across functions with their own targets and existing commitments.

The same complexity appears when a dealership group launches a new service, a manufacturer introduces a production programme or a business unit receives a new strategic mandate from Group.

Find your starting point

Where does your business need support?

SV provides four focused engagement formats. Each addresses a different requirement, from making a direction executable to establishing an operating rhythm the team can sustain.

Service 01

Execution Blueprint

Make your next business move executable.

One working morningOn siteBlueprint within 48 hours

When do I need this?

You have a defined opportunity, strategic priority or business result in mind. Before committing more resources, you need to understand what achieving it will demand from the organisation.

What will SV do?

We spend a focused working morning with the senior leader responsible for the result. Together, we define a specific future business scene and work backwards to identify the conditions that must become true.

What you leave with

  • A clearly defined future business scene.
  • The critical conditions required to achieve it.
  • A sequence of decisions and dependencies.
  • Principal risks and ownership considerations.
  • The first leadership commitments.
  • A one-page Execution Blueprint.

Service 02

Leadership Team Execution Blueprint

Get the decisions and commitments aligned across your leadership team.

One full working dayUp to eight leadersBlueprint within one week

When do I need this?

A strategic priority may require commercial, operations, finance, technology and other functions to change how they work together. The challenge is agreeing on the decisions, resources and commitments needed to deliver one business result.

What will SV do?

SV works with the leadership team in a full-day session to establish a shared picture of the intended future, examine different assumptions and resolve competing priorities.

What your team leaves with

  • One shared view of the intended business result.
  • Agreed priorities and explicit trade-offs.
  • Visible dependencies between functions.
  • Clear ownership and decision rights.
  • Immediate commitments with agreed dates.
  • One Leadership Team Execution Blueprint.

Service 03

90-Day Execution Cadence

Turn the chosen priority into measurable progress.

One 90-day cycleThree priorities a weekBusiness-linked OKRs

When do I need this?

A direction has been agreed. The challenge now is getting it into the way the business operates while commercial targets, customers and existing commitments continue to demand attention.

What will SV do?

SV works with the leadership team to translate the priority into a focused 90-day execution cycle.

We establish business-linked OKRs, measurable outcomes, accountable owners and a practical review cadence, and facilitate the reviews during the first cycle.

What we implement

  • A focused, one-page business-linked OKR architecture.
  • Measurable outcomes for the 90-day cycle.
  • Clear owners and decision rights.
  • Visibility over dependencies and execution risks.
  • A weekly leadership rhythm: three priorities a week.
  • A structured approach to resolving blockers.
  • A quarterly review and preparation for the next cycle.

Service 04

Quarterly Execution Partnership

Keep execution moving while your team builds the capability to sustain it.

Quarterly engagementRenewed by business needNo long-term lock-in

When do I need this?

Some priorities extend beyond one quarter. New evidence emerges, market conditions change and dependencies need continued management.

What will SV do?

SV works alongside the leadership team across successive execution cycles, helping review results, update priorities and maintain the discipline required for implementation.

As the team takes ownership of the process, our involvement reduces.

What the partnership provides

  • A renewed execution focus each quarter.
  • Business-linked outcomes and priorities.
  • Continued leadership reviews and decision support.
  • Visibility over risks, dependencies and progress.
  • Refinement of the execution approach.
  • Gradual transfer of capability to the internal team.

How the work connects

We work with your team until the approach works inside the business.

We start with a defined business result and work backwards to establish the conditions required to deliver it.

That makes the critical decisions, dependencies and commitments visible before implementation begins. We then work alongside the leadership team as those commitments enter the operating rhythm of the business. Our involvement reduces as the team gains the capability to sustain the work independently.

01Future business result

Define the result

What should be materially different in the business, and how will you know?

02Required conditions

Identify the conditions

What must change in commercial decisions, operations, capabilities, investment or ways of working?

03Decisions and dependencies

Establish the sequence

Which decisions need to happen first, what depends on them and where is the evidence still insufficient?

04Implementation

Implement and learn

Translate commitments into measurable work, review what happens and adjust as the evidence develops.

05Internal capability

Transfer ownership

Build the routines and internal capability that allow the leadership team to continue without permanent external facilitation.

An owner.A number.A date.

Every chosen priority needs a measurable business result, someone accountable for delivering it and a date when progress can be assessed.

Our involvement is shaped by the starting point and complexity of the work. The engagements can stand alone or connect when the business requires further support.

The difference SV brings

We stay close to the decisions that determine whether the work gets done.

Leadership teams know their businesses. They also operate within constraints that an external recommendation alone cannot resolve.

A margin initiative may depend on decisions across commercial, operations and finance. A fleet transition may require coordination between Group investment plans and local infrastructure, routes and maintenance capabilities. SV works within those conditions, with the people who carry responsibility for the result.

Senior involvement

Work directly with experienced professionals who understand the demands of leadership, business decisions and cross-functional implementation.

Business-linked execution

The work is connected to the result that matters, with measurable outcomes and a clear basis for reviewing progress.

Implementation inside the organisation

We help leadership teams use the approach in their actual operating rhythm, addressing the decisions and dependencies that emerge.

Independence by design

The team progressively takes responsibility for the system. Our role reduces as its capability grows.

We want the organisation to be more capable of delivering its next priority because we worked together on this one.

Proven experience

Execution that continues beyond the engagement.

For more than 20 years, SV has worked with CEOs and leadership teams on the implementation of strategic priorities.

The value of this experience is visible in how organisations continue to operate after the initial engagement.

"I would highly recommend SV for any company that wants to get in control of their OKRs or build an OKR structure. Mike Dias and the SV team were incremental in the build up of both the structure as well as running the cadences until the team was ready to take over. In the process, Mike Dias served as sounding board to both me as CEO as well to all members of the management team."

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to have our strategy fully defined before working with SV?

We need sufficient clarity about the business direction or result to define a useful engagement. If several opportunities are still under consideration, the initial conversation can help establish which assumptions and decisions need further examination before implementation work begins.

Are your services only for Managing Directors?

No. We work with CEOs, Managing Directors, COOs, CFOs, Business Unit Leaders and other senior executives who are responsible for business results and have the mandate to bring the relevant functions into the work.

Do we need to be using OKRs?

No. Business-linked OKRs are an important part of SV's execution approach when a measurable operating cadence is needed. The appropriate tools depend on the business priority and the stage of the engagement.

Can SV work with a local business unit within a multinational group?

Yes. A Group direction often requires local decisions about investment, people, commercial priorities and operating capacity. We work within the authority and dependencies of the unit, identifying where Group involvement is necessary.

Will our team be able to continue without SV?

That is a central objective of our implementation and ongoing partnership work. We develop the team's ownership and execution routines as the engagement progresses, reducing external involvement when the organisation is ready.
